Alisa Joy Flores
Mental Health Counseling Graduate Intern
Accepting new clients soon
Joy Flores is a Master’s-level intern in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Keiser University. Now in her third year of graduate training, Joy is passionate about making quality mental health care accessible to those who need it most. She currently offers low-cost counseling services for individuals and families navigating life’s challenges.
With experience as a Registered Behavior Technician, Joy supported children with autism and their families — an experience that shaped her clinical interest in the emotional toll of caregiving. She understands how easy it is for caregivers to feel overwhelmed, unseen, or emotionally depleted, and she’s passionate about creating a space where they, too, can feel heard and supported.
Joy also brings compassion and steadiness to those navigating grief, chronic illness, or end-of-life transitions. Whether sitting with someone in loss or helping them prepare for what’s next, she offers a calming, respectful presence during life’s most vulnerable moments.
Known for her warm, collaborative style, Joy sees therapy as a partnership. She works with clients to explore what’s beneath the surface — not to “fix,” but to understand, heal, and move forward together. She provides a safe, nonjudgmental space for anyone ready to take that first step, no matter where they are in their journey.
Low-fee therapy spots are available. If you’re looking for a supportive space to breathe, reflect, or grow — Joy is here to walk beside you.
